SEPTIC INFO

Each site will have a standard septic tank and then a dosing tank like any county lot would have. The Evapotranspiration drainfield systems for the sites are just a larger version of a regular drainfield. They do have a continual liner installed below them and then specified sand (from Knife River’s pit but has a very specific gradation) hauled in to fill the excavated area where the drainfield chambers are installed. With these systems you can’t just backfill with the native material like a normal drainfield. Grass is seeded over the top so it’s a vegetated area in the yard just like a normal system but that grass shouldn’t be irrigated by sprinklers. They are large area systems, particularly for larger homes so they take some room on the lot which is why these lots are sized like they are.
